Number of Southeast Asian Athletes Qualified for Paris 2024 Paralympics

Thailand is showcasing its strength in para sports, leading the pack with the most para athletes set to compete in the Paris 2024 Paralympics, as of the latest update on May 29, 2024. The country's impressive contingent comprises 54 athletes, reflecting Thailand's commitment to supporting and nurturing para athletes on the international stage.

Following closely behind is Indonesia, with 26 athletes securing their spots for the Paralympic Games. Malaysia and Singapore have also secured respectable numbers, with 16 and 12 athletes respectively, demonstrating their dedication to para sports development and representation.

Vietnam and the Philippines have secured smaller but significant teams, with 4 and 3 athletes respectively, showcasing their commitment to para sports excellence despite their smaller contingents.

However, it's important to note that several Southeast Asian countries, including Myanmar, Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, and Timor-Leste, have not yet qualified any athletes for the Paris Paralympics. While the road to qualification may present challenges, these nations continue to strive towards promoting inclusivity and providing opportunities for para athletes to compete at the highest level.

Overall, the presence of athletes from six Southeast Asian countries at the Paris 2024 Paralympics underscores the region's growing prominence in para sports and highlights the immense talent and dedication of para athletes across Southeast Asia.
