Top ten Asian countries that will dominate the artificial intelligence race in 2022

Asia's developing countries still have a long way to go. Because governments are investing in AI-driven technology, Asia will soon become a technical superpower. The exciting trends in artificial intelligence are sweeping the globe and touching every industry. AI enables face recognition, self-driving vehicles, enhanced online outcomes, and corporate development. It's unsurprising that industrialized, emerging, and impoverished nations are all focusing their efforts on AI adoption in order to boost their prospects and advancement. While AI technology continues to advance across the globe and beyond, several major AI powers are competing for supremacy.

The top ten Asian countries driving the global AI race are mentioned below:

China

China's goals to become the world's powerhouse in artificial intelligence have always been lofty. China's State Council has said that by 2030, the country will be a US$150 billion global leader in artificial intelligence. Not only is the objective vague, but it also appears to be attainable, considering the company's existing position as a global leader in artificial intelligence research. Additionally, the country has published more research on deep learning than other big countries. The primary benefit arises from the country's sizable internet population (roughly 750 million people), which generates an enormous amount of digital data for businesses to manage.

Japan

Society 5.0, a Japanese vision, aims to improve human life and progress toward a smart society through strategic breakthroughs and technological advancements. In Asian nations such as Japan, supportive policies and financing from the public and business sectors are assisting in the development of AI. China and Japan, two of the world's major industrial robot exporters, are putting artificial intelligence research into reality. AI is widely employed in the banking, retail, and healthcare industries to help build the economy.

India

As a rapidly growing country, India is undergoing a great digital transformation. The influence of digital technologies on economic aspects and GDP, which is 8%, may be used to gauge the country's response to artificial intelligence (AI). The ratio is predicted to reach 60% in the next two years. India's NITI Aayog policy has established a National AI Strategy to coordinate research and development of emerging artificial intelligence technologies. AI adoption in India is being driven by large technology conglomerates and startups, and the phenomenon has been essential in the country's rapid digital transformation.

Singapore

Singapore is Asia's wealthiest city-state, with a per capita GDP of US$107,690 (PPP Int$). Singapore's wealth is a result of low government corruption and a business-friendly climate, not oil. Numerous investors from throughout the world fly to Singapore to conduct business, and they carry their money with them using AI.

Malaysia

Malaysia's credit profile is very similar to that of Vietnam. This indicates that the country excels in the "Movers" and "Open for Business" categories, yet this hasn't aided the country's equity markets, which have lagged behind those of other Asian countries over the last five years. It has also made important strides in the field of Artificial Intelligence.

Indonesia

Indonesia is a country comprised of over 17,000 islands located between the Pacific and Indian Oceans. It is the biggest country in Southeast Asia and Asia's sixth largest. The islands, which spread from Asia to Oceania, encompass a total size of 1,904,569 square kilometers. With a population of 261,115,456 inhabitants, it is the world's fourth most populous country. Artificial intelligence is rapidly being used in a range of sectors.

Korea, South

South Korea receives high marks in Artificial Intelligence and Entrepreneurship because it is open to the global economy, has an educated population, is entrepreneurial, innovative, and has easy access to capital, skilled labor, technological expertise, transparent business practices, well-developed infrastructure, and movers.

Turkey

Turkey is Asia's tenth-largest country, with an area of 783,356 square kilometers. It is a transcontinental country with just a small proportion of its land area in Europe. Turkey is home to 79,814,871 people. Turkey's geographical qualities are very varied, ranging from mountains to river valleys. The nation is abundant in biodiversity, with over 80,000 animal species, and it maximizes the potential of artificial intelligence.

Vietnam

Vietnam ranks in the middle of the pack on most categories, but it excels in "movers" and artificial intelligence, which account for 10% of the overall score and include adjectives such as "different, distinctive, dynamic, and innovative," which have fueled Vietnam's quick ascent. Investors' attention has been called to the problem. Vietnam's stock markets were among the greatest performers in Asia last year.

Philippines

According to a poll, the Philippines is anticipated to emerge as an important market for AI-led projects, since the majority of governments in the region have created or will establish committees or task forces to build national AI policies in the coming years. The Philippines is a world leader in artificial intelligence.
