Singapore Airlines Will Start Flying Non-Stop to Seattle in 2019
It’s been a busy month for Singapore Airlines. The Asian airline launched the longest flight in the worldwith its route from Newark-Singapore and begins non-stop service between Los Angeles and Singapore tomorrow.
Today, however, the carrier announced it would begin flying an all-new route between Seattle and Singapore starting September 3, 2019. Seattle will become Singapore Airlines’ sixth U.S. destination, after Houston, Los Angeles, Newark, New York JFK and San Francisco.
Flights between the two cities will initially be operated three times weekly before a bump up to four times per week in October 2019. The schedule, subject to regulatory approval, will be as follows.
Singapore Airlines flight SQ27 will depart Seattle at 10:40am Pacific Time on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, and arrive in Singapore at 5:30pm local time the following day.
Singapore Airlines flight SQ28 will depart Singapore at 9:25am on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, and arrive in Seattle the same day at 9:05am local time. Starting in October, flights will also operate on Sunday in both directions.
"Our new non-stop flights to Seattle are another demonstration of our commitment to expand our operations in the important U.S. market and grow our network reach,” said Singapore Airlines CEO, Goh Choon Phong.
“The new services will also further strengthen the Singapore hub by providing customers faster and more convenient connectivity from key markets such as Southeast Asia, South Asia and Australasia to North America."
