"There will be five designers and one couture who will participate in Paris Fashion Week. We depart [for Paris] starting today and tomorrow, highlighting coastal culture heritage as the theme," said Jeny Tjahyawati, who also serves as the head of IMFD, during a press conference in Jakarta on Friday as quoted by Antara.

Jeny has prepared 15 collections and will collaborate with tenun (woven fabric) artisans of Ende, Bali. The colors presented in the collections will also be a signature of Ende.

"I'm also using a pleating technique in this collection; the colors will follow the color of tenun. The preparation was less than a month since I'm also a coordinator for Paris Fashion Week," said Jeny.

Meanwhile, siblings Siriz, Senaz and Sansa, who gathered in Si.Se.Sa, will present the "Fascinating Java" theme inspired by Javanese culture, especially from Kudus in Central Java.

"Batik Kudus is famous for its isen-isen [intricate patterns]; but we will create a more modern version of it. We will also highlight Tasik embroidery, which is famous for its cute flowers. We want to showcase to the world that syar'i [Muslim] fashion can also be exclusive with the addition of Swarovski," said Senaz.
