It's no wonder that the world of digital nomads and remote employees is rapidly expanding. With an increasing number of people desiring an independent work environment as well as the opportunity to travel, remote working is becoming increasingly popular. 

Not to mention the current pandemic, which has pushed many people to reevaluate where they are based. Simply said, remote working is the way of the future, and it's coming soon. That's why, in 2021, we've compiled a list of the greatest cities to work from remotely.

Bali, Indonesia. No. 4 in the world  

Everyone knows that the Indonesian state of Bali is a digital nomad's paradise. Countless coworking spaces, a strong community, vibrant nightlife, and an incredible amount of local culture are just a few of the attractions that make Bali the place to be. 

WiFi is rarely a problem, thanks to its established standing as one of the world's most populous digital communities. Additionally, Bali is a cost-effective choice for people who want to immerse themselves in a new culture when they are not working. 

After all, a lovely cottage with rice terrace views can be had for less than $400 per month, and a delectable Balinese meal can be had for less than $5.

Chiang Mai, Thailand. No. 5 in the world 

Chiang Mai has become something of a rite of passage for digital nomads all over the world in the last decade or so. It's the ideal combination of cost, visa flexibility, internet speed, and overall atmosphere. 

You may network your way to the top in the highly diverse and connected ex-pat community, utilize the numerous co-working places, or simply do your own thing in your super affordable apartment. After all, a studio in the heart of the city will set you back about $300-400. 

Then there's the rest of it. Chiang Mai is a terrific place to start learning about Thai culture and a great base for visiting the rest of the country.

Singapore. No. 7 in the world 

Singapore is consistently ranked as one of the greatest places in the world for ex-pats to reside. It's easy to see why, given its stable economy, excellent business environment, and melting pot of opportunities for remote workers. 

Singapore is a fantastic entryway to the Asian market, depending on your profession. It's more expensive than most remote worker-friendly counties, but the 93 Mbps internet, high degree of safety, and unlimited career prospects more than compensate.

Hanoi, Vietnam. No. 9 in the world 

There's a lot to look forward to in Vietnam's capital, including crazy rich history, fantastic food, and super-affordable lodging. Hanoi has a plethora of inexpensive coworking spaces, as well as a well-connected digital nomad culture and plenty of comfortable lodging to make it seem like home. 

Spend the day at UP or COGO coworking spaces, or visit one of the many cafes that are ideal for afternoon productivity. When you're not working, there are a plethora of local dishes to warm your heart. There are also other surrounding attractions to visit, including  the Temple of Literature and Hoan Kiem Lake.

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. No. 29 in the world 

Ho Chi Minh City is the place to go if you want a lot of bang for your buck, year-round warm sunny days, and an outstanding quality of life. This lively city in southern Vietnam is well-known among ex-pats and locals for its low cost of living, wide range of local markets, and ease of living. 

You'll find everything you need, whether it's consistent coworking spaces or just good internet and a selection of work cafes. Spiced, for example, is a co-living program.

Bangkok, Thailand. No. 36 in the world 

Bangkok is an assault on the senses in every manner possible. It's loud, it's exhilarating, it's chaotic and rough at times, and yes, it can be tough.

Bangkok has a population of about 10 million people, so you'll find everything from New York City skyscrapers with a thriving business district to endless food carts and lively marketplaces to ancient temples and enormous ruins. 

You can explore it all and more in your spare time thanks to the low cost of living. There are many coworking cafes, 20 MBPS internet, and well-connected networking organizations, thanks to its growing status as an ex-pats hub in recent years.
