Finally! Vietnam's Carmaker Vinfast Opens 6 Showrooms in the US
VinFast, a domestically produced vehicle manufacturer from Vietnam, has finally opened the first six of its planned 36 dealerships in California after extensive planning that lasted over several years, with many of the talks taking place largely virtually throughout the pandemic. Beginning in California, it is looking at national expansion.
Le Thi Thu Thuy, vice chairwoman of Vingroup and CEO of VinFast Worldwide, said in a press release that the opening of the first six VinFast Stores in the US "marks a significant milestone in the company's global journey, as we work toward offering premium products and services to American consumers."
Following a June 1 announcement of 50 VinFast outlets in Europe, the company has announced plans to grow its network of locations in the US and eventually throughout all of North America.
The 2017-founded Vietnamese carmaker VinFast has been preparing to enter the American vehicle market for some time. VinFast announced its plans to import its EVs into the United States in March 2022 in 2021 after revealing a pair of electric SUVs.
Even if the young firm fell short of that goal, VinFast continues to insist that American sales will start by the end of 2022. Currently, the business is getting ready to move forward with a significant step.
In an effort to generate buzz before sales start, VinFast established its U.S. headquarters in Los Angeles in 2021 and has been touring the Golden State with displays of its two-row VF8 crossover.
Its brand-building initiatives, which are based on individualized relationships with customers, are an addition to that strategy. This is to guarantee that VinFast electric vehicles will have the desired qualities of convenience, peace of mind, and dependability during the buying and ownership processes from the yet-to-be-known automobile manufacturer.
California's top locations are home to the first six US VinFast locations. One of the most up-to-date, busy retail malls in the Los Angeles region, Santa Monica Place, hosted the understated opening ceremony.
In Santa Monica, San Diego, San Mateo, Corte Madera, Commerce, and Berkeley, the stores will open on July 14.
"1S, 2S, and 3S" are the designations for VinFast dealers. High-traffic shopping malls house the VinFast 1S vehicle display and sales locations. The biggest store categories are 3S dealers, which offer full auto and component sales as well as servicing.
On a lesser scale, the 2S stores provide both parts and service and assist the surrounding 1S businesses. They are prominently situated on main thoroughfares. Additionally, the 2S stores provide support for areas lacking other store formats but having large VinFast client densities.
VinFast Stores are developed with a futuristic and minimalist design language and incorporate interactive technologies for a smooth "Online-to-Offline" experience in order to portray the "Future of Mobility" idea.
The expansive in-store ambiance combines contemporary elements in perfect harmony with Eastern tradition and beauty drawn from nature, aesthetically illustrating VinFast's mission to build a sustainable future for all.
