Singapore is once again in the global spotlight as Porsche announces that Singapore will host the 11th Porsche Experience Center (PEC) in the world. This PEC will be the first in Southeast Asia and the first in the world to be specifically designed to provide an enjoyable experience for Porsche customers and enthusiasts, both locally and regionally.

This announcement follows the recent global launch of the new Tigers car at Gardens by the Bay and the international dealer launch at Marina Bay. Located just 20 minutes from Changi Airport and close to the Aviation Park MRT station on the Cross Island Line, this 11th PEC is scheduled for completion in 2027.

The new 9-hectare PEC in Singapore will focus on driving experiences, offering visitors a dynamic driving experience. The facility will feature a 2-kilometer driving track, ideal for showcasing Porsche's two-door and four-door sports cars. In addition, the Singapore PEC will be the world's first to provide integrated after-sales facilities, allowing Porsche customers to test and purchase performance parts on-site.

Porsche is also committed to achieving a carbon-neutral supply chain for new vehicles by 2030. The PEC fleet in Singapore will feature environmentally friendly electric vehicles (EVs) that still deliver a thrilling driving experience, in line with Singapore's Green Plan 2030 for sustainable development.

Interestingly, the upcoming PEC will not only offer a driving track, but also various engaging activities for families. These include themed exhibitions, displays of iconic cars from the Porsche Museum, racing simulators and a wide range of dining options.

In general, PEC around the world aim to improve participants' driving skills through specialized courses led by professional instructors. Each PEC has different facilities such as race tracks, off-road areas and skid pans. The configuration for the Singapore PEC is yet to be confirmed.

Detlev von Platen, Member of the Executive Board, Sales and Marketing, Porsche AG, said that Singapore is known for its innovation and entrepreneurial spirit. In his statement, he noted that the establishment of a new PEC in Singapore with the same principles is a fitting step to create innovative and memorable experiences with Porsche sports cars.

Hannes Ruoff, CEO of Porsche Asia Pacific, highlighted Singapore's strategic importance as a hub in Southeast Asia. He expressed his excitement for this innovative project and reaffirmed Porsche's commitment to provide an inclusive experience for the whole family at the new Porsche Experience Centre in Singapore.

The Porsche Experience Center (PEC) is an exciting innovation in the automotive world, offering unique experiences for Porsche sports car enthusiasts. There are currently nine PECs in strategic locations around the world, including Leipzig, Silverstone, Atlanta, Le Mans, Los Angeles, Shanghai, Hockenheimring Germany, Franciacorta Italy and Tokyo. In 2021, it was announced that a new PEC will be built in Toronto and is expected to be completed by 2024.
