TransNusa, an airline from Indonesia, gained significant attention in the regional aviation industry in 2023. Starting with the launch of the international Jakarta-Kuala Lumpur route with a relatively small fleet, the airline achieved a notable milestone by becoming one of the few foreign airlines allowed to operate at Subang Airport in Malaysia.

Starting August 1, TransNusa will operate daily flights between Jakarta and Subang using an A320 aircraft. Flights will depart Jakarta at 16:10 and arrive in Subang at 19:00. The return flight will depart Subang at 19:30 and arrive in Jakarta at 20:30. Tickets for this new route are available from Rp999,000.

The addition of this route will not affect TransNusa's schedule to Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru, which will continue to operate as normal.

After struggling due to the pandemic, TransNusa has successfully rebounded and demonstrated impressive performance. The airline has undergone a significant business transformation since its re-launch in October 2022, following the suspension of operations in September 2020.

Starting almost from scratch, the airline managed to open the Jakarta-Kuala Lumpur international route in just six months. It even received permission to operate at premium airports such as Subang.

Following the success of the Jakarta-Kuala Lumpur route, the airline quickly expanded its international network to several major cities in Asia, including Johor, Singapore and Guangzhou. It was also the first airline in the world to order the Comac ARJ21-700 aircraft.

In addition, TransNusa became the second airline in Indonesia to operate the Jakarta-Guangzhou route. This aggressive expansion strategy has enabled TransNusa to become the fastest growing airline in Southeast Asia.

Originally known as a low-cost carrier, TransNusa has undergone a significant transformation into a premium service airline since 2022. With fleet upgrades and service quality improvements, TransNusa has successfully introduced a new business model as the first premium service airline in Asia Pacific.

As the first airline outside of China to operate the Comac ARJ21-700 aircraft, TransNusa has demonstrated its leadership in the industry. The rapid expansion of domestic and international routes, including the launch of routes to China, has further solidified TransNusa's position as a major player in the regional aviation industry.
