Keretapi Sarong 2024 (KS24) is back with a grand celebration of Malaysia's 61st Independence Day. With the theme "Bangga Malaysia" (Proud Malaysia), the event serves as a platform to celebrate local brands that have contributed significantly to shaping the national identity.
Through KS24, the organizers aim to elevate the status of local products and showcase Malaysia's cultural commercial potential on a global scale.
"'Bangga Malaysia' is not just this year's theme; it is a strong statement of our nation's pride in the local brands that shape our identity. Through Keretapi Sarong 2024, we celebrate our unity and showcase the creativity and resilience of Malaysian brands, making them symbols of unity and cultural heritage," said Shamsul Bahrin Zainuzzaman, co-founder of LOCCO and Program Director of KS2024.
LOCCO is a community that supports cultural activities in Malaysia. Through various projects such as Keretapi Sarong and initiatives in Kuala Lumpur, they strengthen local heritage and create memorable experiences for everyone.

Spectacular Collaborations
Prepare to be amazed! Keretapi Sarong 2024 (KS2024) is set to dazzle with spectacular collaborations with key industry players. More than 40 strategic partners are fully supporting the event, proving that KS2024 is the ideal platform for local brands to shine.
The active participation of various parties including community partners such as Infinix, UiTM Melaka, TGV Cinemas and the Malaysia Fashion Creativity Award (MFCA) further enriches the KS2024 line-up.
Keretapi Sarong 2024 (KS2024) will also be culturally enriched with the presence of Noraniza Idris. A renowned musical artist, Noraniza's performance will add a rich cultural dimension to the event, now in its 8th year. Her classic Malay songs will take the audience on a deeply nostalgic journey.

KS2024 Goes International
KS2024 will make waves across the country! Thousands of participants from different communities will gather in cities and train stations across Malaysia. They will perform flash mobs and showcase local and regional community participation in locations such as Subang Jaya, Putrajaya Sentral, Gombak, KL Sentral, Kajang, Ampang, TTDI, UPM and Sri Damansara Sentral.
In addition to the main event in the Klang Valley, simultaneous flash mobs will take place in selected locations such as Johor Bahru, Kota Bharu, Ipoh, Bukit Mertajam and Alor Setar.
This year, KS2024 has a unique twist. In addition to the domestic celebrations, the event will also be held in major cities in foreign countries such as Paris and Berlin, underscoring the global appeal of this celebration.
