Finding a job with 10 years of experience for Miyu when she is 20 years old will not be difficult for her. Considering the remarkable 10-year-old girl with baggy clothes and a cute iconic bun as her signature look, Miyu started her street dance career very early.

Miyu Ananthanaya Pranoto, despite her small body, has quite a big name in the world of dancing. It all started with the Radikal Forze Jam 2023 international competition in Da Nang, Vietnam where Miyu's astonishing short video performance on the @stanceelements YouTube channel attracted more than 40 million eyes and ended up going viral.

When did Miyu start to love dancing? Then, the world should be thankful for BTS, the Korean boy band, especially Jimin, who is her favorite dancer and inspired her to get into pop music and dance.

After taking dance classes that helped build her strong mentality, Miyu further strengthened it by participating in numerous competitions across Indonesia almost every month, from Jakarta to Bali to South Sumatra, as reported by the BBC.

Confidently, she showed her strength in every move while battling opponents twice or thrice her age. Even their size couldn’t stop her. She danced delicately, without missing a single beat, showing divine musicality at such a young age.

Where, in her first competition, she won an award in the freestyle category, which quickly became her favorite genre. However, she also excels in other styles such as Hip Hop, Locking, and Waacking.

All her hard work, combined with her natural talent, allowed her dancing skills to improve year after year. Eventually, she rose from East Jakarta to perform in Vietnam, gaining worldwide recognition. Today, the remarkable Miyu is often referred to as a dance prodigy.

Even her mentor Semmy Blank, a renowned dancer from Indonesia acknowledged Miyu’s talent, and praised her dedication, “It's not hard for me to teach a person like Miyu. Compared to adults, I think she really can top them as a freestyler and her skills improve fast in terms of foundation, technique, and musicality," quoting from The S media.

After going viral as a pupil, Miyu is now a mentor's partner alongside Semmy Blank. They held a Hip Hop workshop to teach other young talents like her. Not only that, Miyu has joined the Jam Republic Agency, an international dance agency that gained recognition after competing in the South Korean TV show “Street Woman Fighter 2,” and working on major performances such as Blackpink’s at Coachella and BTS member Jungkook’s live video for his song “3D.”

Although already recognized for her dancing skills, Miyu’s young age does not stop her curiosity to explore her singing and drawing skills. At the same time, Miyu has also broken through the stereotypes of a street dancer, especially in Indonesia.

Most people think street dancing is a male-dominated environment and more like a hobby or not considered a serious profession. She may be small, but she has the potential to serve as a role model and even a global icon for other young talents who have yet to be discovered.
