World football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo will visit Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. He will participate in a social activity program at the invitation of the Graha Kasih Foundation, led by Dr. Susi Maria Kapitana. The local community, especially football fans eager to witness the legendary player's presence, has enthusiastically welcomed this news.
According to a report from SportDetik.com, Abdul Muiz, the Secretary of Asprov PSSI NTT, stated that Jakarta still needs to confirm Ronaldo's exact arrival schedule.
PSSI NTT and the East Nusa Tenggara Provincial Government (Pemprov NTT) may meet with the player, widely known as CR7, as part of his visit to Kupang.
Muiz also revealed that Ronaldo would be traveling with his entourage on a private jet, adding to the exclusivity of his visit to Indonesia.
This visit will mark Ronaldo's third trip to Indonesia if it materializes. Previously, in 2005, he visited Aceh after the 2004 tsunami disaster to provide assistance to the victims.
Then, in 2013, Ronaldo returned to Indonesia as the Mangrove Ambassador and met with the 6th President of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.
His upcoming visit is expected to have a positive impact, not only on football but also on social and humanitarian aspects in Kupang.
