Two major names in love songs will share the stage in Jakarta this December. American R&B group Boyz II Men and Indonesian pop-rock band Dewa 19, featuring Ari Lasso and Virzha, will perform at Indonesia Arena, Gelora Bung Karno, on December 9, 2026.
The concert, titled Boyz II Men + Dewa 19 Feat. Ari Lasso & Virzha Live in Jakarta 2026, will give both acts full performances with equal stage time. Boyz II Men will bring its signature R&B sound, while Dewa 19 will draw from its pop-rock catalog, with love songs forming the common thread between the two sets.
For Boyz II Men, Jakarta will be the group’s only stop in Asia on its world tour this year. The trio is expected to perform some of its best-known songs, including On Bended Knee, End of the Road, and I’ll Make Love to You, bringing a catalog of R&B hits that has long been associated with romantic ballads.
Love Songs Connect Two Different Musical Worlds
Dewa 19 will take the stage with Ari Lasso and Virzha for a set featuring some of the band’s best-known love songs. The performance will not be a brief appearance alongside Boyz II Men. Instead, both acts will have their own full-length sets, giving each room to showcase its distinct sound.
The pairing brings together two very different musical traditions. Boyz II Men is known for its vocal harmonies and R&B ballads, while Dewa 19’s repertoire leans into Indonesian pop-rock, but both have built extensive catalogs around songs about love and relationships.
The concert also continues Rajawali Indonesia’s series of shows pairing international artists with Indonesian musicians. Previous events have brought Bryan Adams together with Ari Lasso and Rony Parulian, Air Supply with Klakustik, and Boyz II Men with Kahitna in 2025.
