Timor-Leste has the youngest average population age in Southeast Asia!

According to data collected by Seasia Stats, Timor-Leste has the lowest average population age, at 20.9 years. Followed by Laos in second place with an average age of 24.4 years, and the Philippines in third place with an average age of 25.5 years.

Meanwhile, Singapore has the oldest population with an average age of 48.2 years, followed by Thailand in second place with an average age of 40.2 years.

This statistic depicts the median age of the population in Southeast Asia in 2023. The median age divides the population into two equal groups, indicating that half of the population is younger and the other half is older than this age.
