Indonesia leads in cat ownership across Asia Pacific!
Based on data from Rakuten Insight published in 2021, the percentage of pet cat ownership in the Asia Pacific region shows that Indonesia ranks the highest with a cat ownership rate of 47%. Followed by Philippines with 43% and Thailand with 42%, which rank second and third in Southeast Asia.
The methodology involved an online survey using Rakuten Insight’s panel, with a sample size of 97,000 respondents from China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, and Vietnam.
