Indonesia Has Elected New Leaders

Presidential and Vice-Presidential candidate duo number 2, Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka, have officially been inaugurated as the new President and Vice President for the term spanning from 2024 to 2029.

According to the tally of votes from the 2024 election, Prabowo and Gibran secured 96,214,691 votes, which accounts for 58.83 percent of the total votes. They were followed by Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar in second place, who garnered 40,971,906 votes or 25.05 percent. Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud MD secured 27,040,878 votes, amounting to 16.53 percent.

The KPU's tally revealed that Prabowo and Gibran emerged victorious in 36 regions, while Anies and Muhaimin led in the remaining two regions. Notably, Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka had already declared victory in the election after unofficial vote counts displayed a considerable advantage in their favor over their competitors.
