Indonesians Wake Up the Earliest in Asia

According to a recent survey conducted by World Population Review, Indonesians have earned the distinction of being the earliest risers in Asia. The study, which analyzed morning habits of over 10,000 respondents, reveals that Indonesians wake up on average at 6:55 AM, positioning them as the most ‘morning-oriented’ population in the region.

This early wake-up habit places Indonesia ahead of other Asian countries such as Japan, South Korea, and Singapore. Japan follows closely with an average wake-up time of 7:09 AM. Thailand and the Philippines also show a tendency towards later mornings, with average wake-up times of 7:24 AM and 7:28 AM, respectively.

Globally, South Africa holds the title for the earliest risers, with an average wake-up time of 6:24 AM. Colombia and Costa Rica also feature prominently in the early wake-up list, with average times of 6:31 AM and 6:38 AM, respectively. Conversely, Saudi Arabia has been noted for having some of the latest wake-up times.

The survey highlights a global trend of early morning activity, with people across the world generally awake and active by 9 AM. This shift towards early rising habits reflects broader cultural and lifestyle patterns, influencing productivity and daily routines around the globe.
