As the countdown to the Paris 2024 Paralympics reaches its final day, Southeast Asian athletes are making their final preparations for the highly anticipated event. Leading the charge from the region is Thailand, which is bringing the largest contingent of athletes, with 78 competitors ready to showcase their talents on the global stage. Indonesia follows with 35 athletes, and Malaysia has a strong team of 28 participants.

Notably, Indonesia’s Paralympic athletes will be wearing a special kit designed through a unique collaboration between IKAT Indonesia by renowned designer Didiet Maulana, Mills Sportswear, the Indonesian Ministry of Youth and Sports, and the National Paralympic Committee of Indonesia (NPC Indonesia). This special kit symbolizes the unity and strength of the nation’s athletes as they head into the Paralympic Games.

Other Southeast Asian nations are also making their presence felt. Singapore and Vietnam are both sending 10 athletes, while Myanmar has 11 competitors. The Philippines will be represented by seven athletes, and Brunei by six. Cambodia, Laos, and Timor-Leste each have one athlete participating, showing the region's growing involvement in the Paralympics.

The Southeast Asian nations are hopeful that their athletes will make their mark in Paris, as they strive for success, overcoming challenges and breaking barriers on the world stage.
