Survey on Countries Denying Climate Change

The survey conducted by YouGov in July and August 2020 revealed that Indonesia has the highest percentage of climate change deniers in the world. Approximately 21% of the Indonesian population stated that they believe climate change is not real or that humans are not responsible for it.

Following closely behind, Thailand also exhibited a significant level of denial, with 15% of its population expressing skepticism towards climate change. The survey, which involved 26,000 people across 25 countries, sheds light on the varying levels of awareness and acceptance of climate change issues globally.

These findings underscore the importance of education and awareness campaigns to address misconceptions and promote understanding of the scientific consensus on climate change. As climate change continues to pose significant challenges worldwide, it is essential for countries to unite in their efforts to mitigate its impacts and adapt to changing environmental conditions.
