Malaysia has been recognized as one of the best countries for retirement in the world in 2024, according to a new study by International Living.
The 2024 Global Retirement Index Annual Report was recently published, with Costa Rica ranking first with a score of 83.57. Malaysia ranked eighth with a score of 75.7, being the only Southeast Asian country to make it into the top ten.
The index is measured across seven categories, including Housing, Cost of Living, Visas/Benefits, Affinity Rating, Climate, Development, and Healthcare Services.
