Top 15 Southeast Asian Companies by Revenue

Fortune has unveiled the ranking of the 500 Largest Companies in Southeast Asia, known as the Fortune Southeast Asia 500 for the year 2024. This list ranks the largest companies in the region based on their revenue for the fiscal year 2023. Fortune’s interest in this region has grown due to Southeast Asia’s increasing significance in the global economy, driven by supply chain shifts and rapid economic advancements in the area.

This inaugural ranking encompasses companies from seven Southeast Asian countries: Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Viet Nam, the Philippines, and Cambodia. Indonesia leads with 110 companies, followed closely by Thailand with 107 companies. Malaysia, with 89 companies on the list, surpasses Singapore with 84 companies. Viet Nam hosts 70 companies on the list, the Philippines 38, and Cambodia 2.

Regarding revenue, the Singapore-based commodity trading company Trafigura secures the top position on the list, dominating with sales of $244 billion. This private commodities trader in minerals, metals, and energy boasts the fewest employees among the top ten companies based on revenue and stands as the second most profitable within this group.
