World's Most Optimistic Countries Going Into 2025

According to a recent Ipsos survey, Indonesia has claimed the top spot for global optimism heading into 2025. An impressive 90% of the Indonesian population believes that the new year will bring improvements, marking the country as the most optimistic in the world. This positive outlook surpasses many other nations, showcasing a strong sense of hope and anticipation for progress in the social and economic sectors.

Indonesia’s remarkable optimism is not isolated, as several other countries also show high levels of confidence for the future. Colombia and Chile, with 87% of their citizens expressing optimism for 2025, follow closely behind. This shared optimism suggests a broad regional and global trend toward brighter expectations for the new year. The Philippines also stand out, with 87% of its population expressing hopefulness, reflecting resilience and determination in the face of recent challenges.

Peru and South Africa are similarly optimistic, with 85% and 84% of their populations looking forward to the upcoming year with hope. These findings point to a global trend where nations are not only anticipating better prospects but are also showing increasing confidence in overcoming obstacles and creating new opportunities.

Mexico and Malaysia round out the global ranking, with 84% and 81% of their populations respectively holding positive expectations for 2025. This survey underscores the growing global belief in a better future, highlighting optimism as a driving force for societal and economic change in 2025.
