BYD is finalizing its large-capacity EV factory in Subang, West Java, with operations targeted for early 2026.
BYD Indonesia’s Luther Pandjaitan said the 108-hectare facility is in its final stage, focusing on compliance and quality control. The Rp11 trillion factory is designed to produce 150,000 units annually.
The plant will support Indonesia’s TKDN push, produce high-demand models like Atto 1 and M6, and employ around 3,000 workers.
