Thailand has achieved first place in Asia and eighth position globally among 89 countries with the richest cultural heritage, according to U.S. News & World Report's 2024 rankings.

The comprehensive evaluation assessed nations based on five critical attributes: accessible culture, rich history, excellent cuisine, numerous cultural landmarks, and abundant geographic attractions.

Government spokesperson Sasikarn Wattanachan highlighted this prestigious recognition as a testament to Thailand's exceptional cultural wealth and its significance on the global stage.

Thailand secured its position ahead of other Asian competitors while trailing behind Greece, Italy, Spain, France, Türkiye, Mexico, and Egypt in the global top 10.

This remarkable achievement reinforces Thailand's status as a premier cultural destination, celebrating its magnificent temples, diverse traditions, world-renowned cuisine, and rich historical legacy that continues to captivate visitors from around the world.
