Thais rally outside Israeli embassy in Bangkok over tourist behaviour concerns

Activist Sondhi Limthongkul led a rally at Bangkok's Israeli Embassy, protesting disrespectful tourist conduct and illegal foreign business ownership.

Foreign Minister Sihasak Phuangketkeow urged Ambassador Alona Fisher-Kamm to address the friction. She agreed to distribute cultural guidelines to visitors.

With Israeli arrivals rising 7% to 277,000 in 2026, tensions have grown. Thailand is now strictly deporting foreigners who violate local laws.
