PH Cyclists Dominate Downhill Mountain Bike in SEA Games

Team Philippines collected two more golds on Monday morning, courtesy of the cyclists competing in the downhill mountain bike event in Laurel, Batangas.

Lea Denise Belgira zoomed past the opposition to finish with a time of 3:09.781, clinching another gold medal for the Philippines in the 30th Southeast Asian Games.

Indonesia's Tiara Prastika (3:16.986) and Thailand's Vipavee Deekaballes (3:17.607) complete the podium.

Meanwhile, it was complete dominance in the men's division, as John Derick Farr and Eleazar Barba Jr. completed a 1-2 finish for the Philippines.

Farr claimed the gold with a time of two minutes and 41.143 seconds, and Barba followed closely with a time of two minutes and 42.503 seconds.

Indonesia's Andy Prayoga got the bronze with a time of 2:47.868.

The cyclists' gold medals lift the Philippines' total to 24, matching their output from two years ago in Kuala Lumpur.
