VinFast Eyes Southeast Asia Expansion

Vietnamese automaker VinFast has announced its plans to expand into the electric mobility market in Southeast Asia by offering its complete range of electric vehicles (EVs).

VinFast intends to introduce its first four right-hand drive EVs to the market.

The official debut of VinFast's brand and products in Asia took place at the Future Mobility Asia 2023 event, marking a significant milestone in the company's regional market strategy and global development journey.

During the event, VinFast showcased three electric vehicle models - VF e34, VF 8, and VF 9 - and provided test drives to allow visitors to experience the EV models and their smart features firsthand.

In addition to targeting customers, VinFast actively sought new partners to expand its market presence and promote sustainable mobility solutions in the region.

VinFast also expressed its intention to expand into the Southeast Asia market, in addition to its focus on key markets such as North America and Europe.

The company also plans to introduce right-hand steering versions of its EV models - VF 5, VF 6, VF 7, and VF e34 - tailored to meet the specific features and demands of the market.

Le Thi Thu Thuy, Vice Chairman of Vingroup and Chairman of VinFast, stated that expanding into the Southeast Asia region is a part of VinFast's global development strategy. The company aims to provide smart and safe mobility solutions to ASEAN countries, delivering excellent experiences and promoting a greener future.

VinFast offers a comprehensive lineup of EV models, ranging from the A to E-segment, including VF e34, VF 5, VF 6, VF 7, VF 8, and VF 9.

Alongside its car lineup, VinFast also provides a range of eight e-scooter models that cater to different segments, from mass to premium, including Klara, Impes, Ludo, Tempest, Evo200, Feliz, Vento, and Theon.

VinFast's ecosystem extends beyond vehicles to include e-buses, advanced battery technology, and charging solutions, all within the Vingroup ecosystem.

VinFast sees potential in Southeast Asian countries as promising markets for EV consumption, offering ample room for development and fast-paced growth.

Given the favorable geographical locations and similar business environments, VinFast believes that the Southeast Asian market will effectively catalyze the comprehensive development of its product and service ecosystem, as well as that of its parent company, Vingroup, in the future.
