Indonesia now has another place to conserve nature and educate the public about the importance of preserving biodiversity. Jagat Satwa Nusantara Bird Park, located in Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), has now been revitalized and is ready to receive public visits.

The first visit will be opened on Thursday, August 17, 2023, right on the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia. Previously, on August 1, the Test Commissioning was started by testing the operational readiness of all facilities and systems at Jagat Satwa Nusantara Bird Park. This test activity was successful and showed that the park is ready to receive public visitors. Then there was also a soft opening (8/8), and was part of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA), which connects 85 delegates from AIPA with environmental issues and wildlife conservation (10/8).

The Jagat Satwa Nusantara Bird Park itself is an extraordinary attraction with its collection of endemic birds. With a total of 2,000 birds from 218 species, the park is a paradise for nature lovers and bird watchers. Approximately 1,500 birds roam the park, while 500 birds adapt to new environments. Visitors also have the rare opportunity to see a variety of species including the Javan Eagle (Nisaetus bartelsi), Green Peacock (Pavo muticus) and Australian Pelican (Pelecanus conspicillatus).

Jagat Satwa Nusantara Bird Park has two impressive domes that separate birds according to their regional origin: Wallacea & Sahul for birds from eastern Indonesia and Greater Sunda for birds from western Indonesia. Within this attraction is also a Maleo Amphitheater where the bird show is entertaining and educational. Another highlight is the Raptor Free Flight Experience, where eagles gracefully fly from 60 meters above the artificial river and land in the hands of visitors.

In addition to being a place of conservation and education, Jagat Satwa Nusantara Bird Park also invites visitors to experience a delicious meal in the stunning Bantimurung Cave. The facility is also accessible to people with disabilities and offers a Montessori style children's playground. For future visitors, icons such as the Mbaru Niang Tree House and the Omo Hada Sky Bridge can also be found in the stunning Aviary Dome.

Jagat Satwa Nusantara Bird Park provides a new opportunity for people to explore the charm of Indonesia's biodiversity, especially animals from the avian kingdom. This bird park will be an inspiring place that not only provides education, but also becomes a conservation center and a place to nurture concern for animals.

With an entrance ticket starting from IDR 50,000 on weekdays (Monday-Friday) and IDR 60,000 on weekends (Saturday, Sunday and national holidays), the public can enter the magical world of Jagat Satwa Nusantara Bird Park. This ticket is valid for children aged 3 and above. The park operates from 09:00 to 17:00 WIB on weekdays and from 09:00 to 18:00 WIB on weekends and public holidays.
