February is one of the busiest months for Türkiye President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. In the second week of February, he visit three nations in the Asian region within a week. As reported by multiple sources, his journey began on February 9. He was accompanied by his wife, Emine Erdoğan, and several Türkiye ministry staff.

In his agenda, Erdoğan has two big purposes. The first one talks about multiple agreements between two nations and the second one talks about a few hot issues in the international agenda such as the Palestinian war, post Russian-Ukraine war, and the end of Baath Rezim in Syria. His 2nd Visit to Malaysia Since 2019

The first nation that Erdoğan visited was Malaysia. He arrived on February 10th and was welcomed by Malaysia Prime Minister, Anwar Ibrahim and his wife around 2 PM local time.

After that, he directly attended the state ceremony as well as a special ceremony held by the University of Malaya at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre for the presentation of an Honorary Degree by the UM Chancellor, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah. This submission is a form of recognition for Erdoğan's great contribution to global diplomacy and international negotiations.

The event featured an engaging exchange of ideas on various regional and global issues. Discussions included the upcoming 2025 ASEAN-Malaysia Management meeting, the 4th Antalya Diplomacy Forum scheduled to take place in Turkey, the topic of Islamophobia, and the latest developments concerning the ceasefire in Gaza.

Following a series of prior discussions, the meeting between the two heads of state progressed with a review and culminated in the signing of a cooperation agreement between the two countries, executed by the relevant ministers. In total, 11 agreements cover various fields, including defense, economics, diplomatic academies, disaster and emergency management, communication systems for the Defense Industry Secretariat, energy transition, and several others.

Visit to Indonesia for IKN Purposes

After spending 2 days in Malaysia, on February 11th Erdoğan arrived on 2nd destination, Indonesia. What made his arrival special was the warm welcome he received along the road from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport to the Bogor Presidential Palace. Local community members, including elementary school students, lined the sides of the road to greet him.

The interesting thing about this visit is that this marks exactly 75 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries. During the main discussion with Prabowo Subianto at the Bogor Presidential Palace, a total of 13 agreements were discussed.

Apart from discussing the opportunities for Turkey's involvement in IKN development, this meeting also discussed about High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council (HLSCC), the spices import agreement from Indonesia to Turkey such as coffee and cloves, accelerating the finalization of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), about Gaza civilians relocation plan by US President and plenty more.

The 7th Session of the Pakistan-Türkiye HLSCC

Following a three-day engagement in Southeast Asia, the Türkiye President continued his diplomatic visit with his final stop in Pakistan. President Erdoğan arrived late in the evening on February 12th. During this visit, a total of 24 agreements were established across various sectors.

These agreements aim to enhance Pakistan's military tech, as well as to increase the bilateral trade target from 1.5 billion dollars to 5 billion dollars. The agreements also aim for several key areas, including culture, tourism, health, education, energy, transportation and communication, agriculture, and science and technology.

Like in the previous two nations, the two prime ministers discussed international issues such as the sustainable resolution of the Cyprus problem, their support for a peaceful and stable Afghanistan, and reviewed the landscape of global and regional terrorism.

President Erdoğan is scheduled to fly back to Türkiye on February 13. He aim to enhance Turkey institutional relationships with ASEAN and hopes that this agenda can strengthen relations between the three countries and Türkiye in various sectors, especially economics, defense, and facing the possibility of a post-Palestine-Israel War.
