The FA Cup has reached the semi-final stage. All four teams competing in this round are from the Premier League.
Crystal Palace is scheduled to face Aston Villa (April 26) at Wembley Stadium in London. Then, Nottingham Forest will take on Manchester City (April 27) at Wembley Stadium in London.
Villa's coach, Unai Emery, said in an interview with Express and Star that his team has already forgotten their 1-2 defeat to City (April 23). According to Emery, the team's focus is now on the FA Cup.
"We are in the FA Cup semi-final. We can't wait to play with our supporters and want to enjoy it," Emery said before the match.
The former Arsenal coach said he had conducted an analysis after the narrow 1-2 loss to City. The results of this evaluation will be used to perform better against Palace.
This season, Emery and Villa have never won against Palace in two meetings in the English League. Villa drew 2-2 (November 23) and then lost 1-4 (December 25).
In the other semi-final match, Forest will face City. In their two meetings in the English League, each team has won once.
City won the first encounter 3-0 against Forest (December 4). While Forest returned the favor with a 1-0 victory in the second meeting (March 8).
Manchester City's coach, Pep Guardiola, hopes the FA Cup will be a lifeboat for his team. In the Premier League, up to week 33, City has accumulated 61 points and is in third place.
In the League Cup, City lost 1-2 to Tottenham Hotspur in the quarter-finals (October 30).
