FC Barcelona reaffirmed its dominance in the Copa del Rey, also known as the Spanish King's Cup, by defeating Real Madrid 3-2 in the final on Sunday (27/4) at Estadio La Cartuja in Seville.

This victory in the El Clasico has brought Barcelona's Copa del Rey title tally to 32. This achievement makes it increasingly difficult for other teams to catch up to the Blaugrana in the competition. The closest pursuer, Athletic Bilbao, has only won the title 24 times.

Barcelona secured the win in extra time, as both teams were evenly matched at 2-2 after 90 minutes.Barcelona's three goals were scored by Pedri (28'), Ferran Torres (84'), and Jules Kounde (116'). Real Madrid's goals were scored by Kylian Mbappe (70') and Aurelien Tchouameni (77').

The intensity El Clasico led referee Ricardo de Burgos to issue eight yellow cards and two red cards. The two red cards were given to Real Madrid players Antonio Rudiger (120+3') and Lucas Vazquez (120+4').

At the end of the match, both players on the sidelines protested vigorously and entered the field when their teammate Mbappe fouled Barcelona defender Eric Garcia. According to a report by Football Espana, Rudiger even threw an object towards the match officials.
