French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot on Monday, March 30, 2026, condemned recent Israeli attacks on UN peacekeepers in Lebanon and called for an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council.
"France condemns in the strongest possible terms the shelling that caused the death of an Indonesian UNIFIL peacekeeper on March 29 and injured three other members of the Force, as well as the explosion that caused the deaths of two other Indonesian peacekeepers on March 30 and injured two other members of the Force," Minister Barrot stated in a post on X.
