Farizal Rhomadhon, a dedicated Indonesian military personnel aged twenty eight serving as a peacekeeper with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon, tragically lost his life on Sunday, March 29, 2026, after an Israeli artillery projectile struck his guard post near the village of Aadshit al-Qusayr in Southern Lebanon.

Originally from Kulonprogo Regency and proudly assigned to the Yonif 113/JS military unit based in Aceh, the brave soldier leaves behind his grieving wife, Fafa Nur Azila, aged twenty five, and their precious two year old daughter, Shanaya Almahyra Elshanu, who now face a heartbreaking future without their beloved patriarch.

Releasing a formal public statement on Monday, March 30, 2026, the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon officially confirmed that the fatal explosion occurred during an intense exchange of fire between the Israeli military and local armed groups, emphasizing the deeply tragic nature of losing such a dedicated international peacekeeper.

The Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs promptly verified the truly devastating incident through their official platforms, carefully noting that three additional Indonesian peacekeepers also sustained injuries during the same artillery attack while diligently performing their crucial peacekeeping duties amidst the continuously escalating regional hostilities in the turbulent Middle East.

In direct response to this profound national loss, the Indonesian government publicly expressed their deepest condolences and issued a remarkably strong condemnation of the fatal attack, urgently calling for a highly transparent and thoroughly comprehensive international investigation into the unwarranted strike that unjustly claimed the life of their noble soldier.
