Pantai Merah, or Pink Beach, in Indonesia has been voted the world's most beautiful beach this year according to Forbes, which cited a comprehensive survey conducted by British adventure travel company Explore Worldwide.
Located on Komodo Island between Sumbawa and Flores, the beach features distinctive rosé-hued sands created by crushed coral and microscopic Foraminifera, offering pristine waters where reef fish flicker and sea stars cling to vibrant coral gardens.
The prestigious ranking was determined through recommendations from Explore Worldwide's global network of expert guides who have extensively explored remote coastal destinations worldwide.
With its rich marine biodiversity and crystal-clear waters, Pink Beach serves as an ideal destination for snorkeling enthusiasts, while the optimal visiting period extends from May to October when sunny conditions prevail.
The recognition places Indonesia ahead of other world-renowned destinations, with Le Morne in Mauritius securing second place and Boulders Beach in South Africa ranking third in this global assessment.
