Vingroup has become the largest Vietnamese employer, marking a major shift in the country’s corporate landscape.

As of the end of 2025, Vingroup employs 104,253 people, after adding nearly 37,000 workers in just one year. The company also reports an average income of VND 24.4 million per person per month, reflecting strong expansion driven by businesses such as VinFast.

Other major Vietnamese companies employ significantly fewer workers. Vietnam Rubber Group has 77,316 employees, followed by Mobile World Group with 64,727 and FPT with 54,110. Agribank employs 41,813 people, while Masan has 40,411 and Hoa Phat Group reaches 31,570.

Despite this lead among domestic firms, several foreign-invested and state-owned enterprises still operate on a larger scale based on 2024 data. Huali Industrial employs about 169,000 people, Vietnam Electricity Group has 97,000, and Vinacomin reaches 94,000. Samsung employs around 87,000 workers, while Fengtay ranges between 65,000 and 70,000.

The figures show Vietnamese private companies are expanding quickly, with Vingroup now leading locally, while large foreign manufacturers continue to dominate in overall workforce size.
