Ferrari SpA lost its trademark lawsuit against Malaysian energy drink company Sunrise-Mark over the latter's "Wee Power" logo featuring two standing horses, with the Malaysian High Court ruling in favor of the local brand on May 30, 2025.

The court disagreed with Ferrari's argument that the horse imagery infringed on its famous "Prancing Horse" emblem, noting that "the only similarity between both marks was the horse" and that Ferrari's mark features "a single prancing horse, while the defendant's mark contains two horses standing" facing each other.

The judge found no evidence of an intent to mimic the Italian brand and noted that the two companies operate in entirely different sectors — luxury vehicles versus energy drinks.

The High Court fell in favour of the drinks brand due to the dual horse design and the distinct 'W' background, rejecting Ferrari's claims that the trademark would cause consumer confusion.

Ferrari was ordered to bear the costs of the proceedings, with the automaker represented by lawyers PC Kok and Ng Pau Chze, while Sunrise-Mark's defense team included YY Ho and Amirah Najihah.
