Singapore is set to host the Argentina national football team for an exhibition match in early 2026, thanks to a new partnership between the Argentine Football Association (AFA) and HSBC, which will also bring a match to India this October.
As part of the deal, HSBC will offer exclusive perks like match tickets, fan experiences, and meet-and-greet sessions with the world champions, although Argentina’s opponent in Singapore has yet to be announced.
This will be Lionel Messi’s second scheduled visit to Singapore with the national team, after he previously disappointed fans in 2017 by leaving early for his wedding and later frustrated supporters in Hong Kong last year when he remained on the bench due to injury concerns.
With excitement building for the event, fans are hopeful that this time, Messi will finally take the field in Singapore.
