Premium Malaysian durians from Raub in Pahang state can now reach Chinese consumers in as fast as 36 hours after harvest, thanks to expanded air routes and advanced cold chain logistics connecting the two countries.

Raub has established itself as a major durian-producing region, with its unique tropical rainforest climate and soil conditions making premium varieties like Musang King particularly prized for their dense flesh and rich flavor that appeals to Chinese consumers.

In recent years, a significant portion of Raub's durian harvest has been exported to China through sophisticated cold chain logistics systems, with the fruit processed in facilities in Selangor state before being shipped to distribution centers in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province.

The continuous increase in air routes between Malaysia and China has dramatically improved delivery times, allowing fresh durians to maintain their quality and reach Chinese markets within a day and a half of being harvested from the orchards.

This rapid farm-to-table supply chain has strengthened agricultural trade ties between the two nations, with Malaysian durians becoming a symbol of the deepening food culture connection between China and Malaysia.
