Microsoft has announced an ambitious goal to provide AI training to 2.5 million people across the ASEAN region by 2025, as part of its broader digital skills initiative.
The commitment was unveiled by Microsoft Chairman and CEO Satya Nadella during his visit to Jakarta, highlighting the region’s critical role in the future of AI innovation.
This initiative will focus on upskilling youth, educators, and workers through partnerships with local governments, educational institutions, and non-profit organizations.
Microsoft aims to bridge the digital divide by expanding access to AI tools and knowledge, especially in underserved communities across Southeast Asia.
