OpenAI has officially launched ChatGPT Go in Indonesia at Rp 75,000 (approximately $4.50) per month, making the country the second market globally after India to receive this affordable mid-tier subscription plan that bridges the gap between the free version and the premium $20 monthly ChatGPT Plus package.
Indonesia becomes the first nation in Southeast Asia to access ChatGPT Go, with OpenAI currently offering the plan exclusively in India and Indonesia, though other countries and regions may become eligible in the future.
The subscription provides users with extended access to GPT-5, featuring 10 times higher message limits, 10 times more image generations, 10 times more file uploads, and double the memory capacity for more personalized responses compared to the free tier.
Subscribers also gain extended access to advanced data analysis tools including Python, enhanced file upload capabilities, and improved memory features that allow the chatbot to remember previous conversations for better contextual responses.
The launch comes at a strategic time as Indonesia has already emerged as one of ChatGPT's top five global markets, with user activity tripling over the past year, reflecting rapidly rising AI adoption across the archipelago.
