Vingroup proposed Viet Nam's first $3.5B sea-crossing megaproject connecting Ho Chi Minh City's Can Gio and Vung Tau.
The 14km route features a 3.9km undersea tunnel, an 8km bridge, and artificial islands. The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee is currently reviewing this massive public-private venture.
Construction may start in 2026 and end by 2029. Authorities state it will cut travel time to just 15 minutes, boosting regional tourism and the economy.
