‘Where is Bali?’ The Most-Googled Travel Question in 2016

Having all the world’s information at your fingertips has forever changed how your travel. And google provides it. Just ask google where that distant destination is or what to do in any city you find yourself in.  

Google ranked the travel-related searches with the highest spike in traffic over a sustained period in 2016 as compared to 2015. The result span the globe, and this year, Bali, Island of The Gods has been a subject of particular interest among American web users. Coming up to the list, the geographical location of Bali appears to have piqued the interest of web users in the USA.

It shows that although as one of the most famous tourist destinations in the world, a lot of people assume it’s a country on its own. Well yeah, Bali is in Indonesia.  

Following the top ten position are:

  1. What to do in Vegas?
  2. What to do in San Francisco?
  3. Where is Corfu?
  4. What to do in Orlando?
  5. Where is Bora Bora?
  6. What to do in Miami?
  7. How many ounces can you take on a plane?
  8. What to do in Myrtle Beach?
  9. Where is the Grand Canyon?

In addition, Bali is also named as one of the top destinations 2016 based on Travel + Leisure travel guide. Along with 50 other destinations all around the world, this wonderful island is on 12th position.
