West Java's Persib Bandung announced on Tuesday (14/03) it has signed for one year former Chelsea and Real Madrid star Michael Essien.
Persib, which according to rumors plans to make an initial public offering, announced on its Twitter and Instagram accounts that it had acquired the former Ghana international player.

The 34-year-old defensive midfielder left Greek club Panathinaikos in 2015, for which he only scored one goal in 13 appearances.
Prior to Persib's offer, he was reportedly in talks with three Swedish clubs.
During his peak time at Chelsea, he won nine trophies, including two Premier League and an UEFA Champions League titles.
