Thai Animated Film Hits Australia and New Zealand Cinemas in June

Following a January release in Thailand and Laos, the film animated film LEGEND OF MUAY THAI: 9 SATRA (9 ศาสตรา) will hit Australia and New Zealand cinemas in June from CineAsia. You can check out the English dubbed trailer below.

It tells the story of the young man Ott who is destined to save the mystical kingdom of Ramthep City, which was once built on Peace and the lost art of Muay Thai. It was conquered and descends into darkness, under siege of demonic Yaksas.

The banished civilization’s only hope is in the hand of one boy. He gets a secret weapon, but to unlock its secrets he has to possess the 9 virtues. This includes skill, courage, integrity, strength, dedication, compassion, discipline, focus and faith.

Directed by Pongsa Kornsri, Gun Phansuwon, and Nat Yoswatananont, The Reel Bits reports the film cost around THB 230,000,000 (or $7.3 million US).

Indah is a researcher at Badan Perencanaan Pembangunan Penelitian dan Pengembangan Daerah Kota Cirebon (Regional Development Planning and Research Agency of Cirebon Municipality). She covers More international relations, tourism, and startups in Southeast Asia region and beyond. Indah graduated from MSc Development Administration and Planning from University College London, United Kingdom in 2015. She finished bachelor degree from International Relations from University of Indonesia in 2014, with two exchange programs in Political Science at National University of Singapore and New Media in Journalism at Ball State University, USA. She was awarded Diplomacy Award at Harvard World Model United Nations and named as Indonesian Gifted Researcher by Australian National University. She is Researcher at Regional Planning Board in Cirebon, West Java.
