The MotoGP 2019 season is almost upon us, and with the excitement, comes expectation for a few riders representing Southeast Asia this season, Fox Sports Asia reported.
An experience like no other will await the likes of these riders below:
Somkiat Chantra (Thailand)
Khairul Idham Pawi (Malaysia)
Dimas Ekky Pratama (Indonesia)
Hafizh Syahrin (Malaysia)
(also the first ever MotoGP representative in the premier class from Southeast Asia)
So what exactly can we expect from the MotoGP 2019 season, ahead of the VisitQatar Grand Prix?
The usual suspects will be keen to head to the top once again, with Marc Marquez aiming for history once again, but he will surely face stiff competition from his rivals. One such rival is Jorge Lorenzo, from whom so much is expected now that he will ride for the Honda team.
Ducati will depend on the experience of veteran racer Andrea Dovizioso, while Yamaha will once again look to Valentino Rossi to provide the goods as the legend returns for another MotoGP season. Rossi finished fastest in Free Practice 1 in Qatar, but fell way down the order by the end, so it will be interesting to see how “The Doctor” fares in the first full race of the season.
Lots to look forward to in 2019, with a MotoGP campaign ready to race its way into our lives very soon.
