Apple released the new iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro last month, but no smartphone launched with no technical issues. Right after it has launched, customers in the Apple Support Community started whining about the abnormal effects on their iPhone screens. Many users see a green or gray light or a fade, whereas others claim the screen flickers occasionally. Based on the sheer amount of comments that have been published online, these do not seem to be isolated cases. Yet others assert that they have given replacement units with the same issues
Due to the complaints, Apple seems to be made aware of all this. According to Apple Authorized Service Providers, it reports that Apple is aware of the case spreading and is actively exploring the issue.
iPhone 12 models tend to be experiencing problems when screen brightness is set to 90 percent or lower. Errors are not always permanent, with several users claiming that the light or fading goes away after a short time. Problems impact users on iOS 14.1, iOS 14.2, and even beta versions of iOS 14.3. Each iPhone 12 model is considered to be vulnerable, from the iPhone 12 mini to the iPhone 12 Pro Max.
Before iPhone 12, the same problem appeared on iPhone 11 models immediately after they were released in 2019. Apple successfully fixes the issue by releasing iOS 13.6.1. Apple stated the problem as a thermal management problem that caused several displays to show a green tint.
