Jakarta, Indonesia, August 3, 2024 - The ability to meet competency needs for business executives today has become a challenge faced by both companies and individuals seeking to innovate in their businesses.

With the increasing demand for such competencies, the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), through the Directorate of Non-Regular Education, in collaboration with Salam Ganesha Academy, presents the ITB Executive Education Program (ITB EEP).

The ITB Executive Education Program (ITB EEP) provides a platform for professionals and entrepreneurs to learn about business and understand the processes of innovation and company development that they can undertake. Through ITB EEP, executive entrepreneurs can gain deeper knowledge from ITB academics and experts in their fields.

ITB EEP is a non-degree program lasting two months with two main topics: AI for Business Leaders (AIBL), which discusses how executives can understand the role of artificial intelligence and its application in business processes to enhance business performance, and the Mini MBA, which focuses on discussing business leadership skills tailored to current business needs.

The first ITB EEP class session today (Saturday, August 3) is the third meeting in the entire ITB EEP Batch 2 series. On this occasion, the class is led by Professor Wawan Dhewanto, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., a Professor at the School of Business and Management of the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), with the topic Introduction to Corporate Entrepreneurship and Innovation.

In addition to being led by Professor Wawan Dhewanto, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., the second session of today's class features a Guest Lecturer Session led by Ahmad Zaky, the former Founder and CEO of Bukalapak and Founding Partner of Init 6. Ahmad Zaky opened the class with introductions and a Q&A session. During this session, participants could ask questions about business opportunities and innovation plans for building a company.

In the ITB EEP, instructors not only provide information and learning to participants but also allow them to discuss with other participants in forum discussion groups and share their experiences while working at the executive level. Additionally, participants are allowed to express their opinions or ideas on case studies provided by the instructors.

The learning offered by ITB EEP reflects the significant impact of Indonesian workers' education on national economic growth. According to data from the Journal of the Impact of Education on Economic Growth in Indonesia, education for each worker significantly influences national economic development. An average education increase of 1% per worker results in a 1.56% increase in output.

The two-month ITB EEP adopts a blended learning approach, where participants can interact directly with instructors and access all materials online. To produce high-quality and relevant learning materials, ITB EEP collaborates with SBM ITB and STEI ITB, ensuring that the program is prepared by ITB academics and experts in their fields.

Furthermore, Vanny Wulandary Katili, President Director of PT Salam Kreasi Ganesha, revealed that Salam Ganesha plans to collaborate with overseas universities, especially those in the top 100 rankings, focusing on non-degree or certification programs. In Southeast Asia, such programs are becoming more common. Therefore, Salam Ganesha plans to expand internationally to reach a broader range of participants from various countries.

"Our plan moving forward is to collaborate with overseas universities, especially those in the top 100, such as the National University of Singapore (NUS), Stanford University, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The program will remain non-degree or certification," said Vanny Wulandary Katili.
