Siargao Surfing Destination Recognized as the best place to visit in Southeast Asia by travel website Lonely Planet. In its July article, the magazine praised Siargao as a tropical paradise with quality surf, including the Cloud 9 wave, considered one of the best in the world.
Here, surfers can take a boat ride to Rock Island or Daku, or try out the left-hander at Stimpy's off the reef. The article also recommends surfing lessons for all levels, cave exploring, yoga classes, and live music in bars and cafes.
“By staying at least a week on Siargao, you'll be able to experience the best of the island and explore beyond the main town,” the article added.
