The Indonesia U-20 National Football Team has officially secured their place in the final round of the 2025 AFC U-20 Asian Cup. This accomplishment came after Indonesia managed to hold Yemen U-20 to a 1-1 draw in their last Group F match of the AFC U-20 Asian Cup Qualifiers, which took place at Madya Stadium, Jakarta, on Sunday (29/9).

Indonesia’s qualification is a result of consistent performances throughout the group stage. Their ability to draw with a strong team like Yemen in a high-pressure game showcased their determination and skill, earning them a spot in the prestigious tournament's final round.

During the match, Indonesia took the lead with a powerful strike that found the top right corner of Yemen’s goal in the 45th minute, which Jens Raven scored. This gave Indonesia a 1-0 advantage going into the break.

However, in stoppage time, Yemen equalized through a long-range effort from Abdulrahman Al Khadher, which took a deflection off an Indonesian defender, making it difficult for goalkeeper Ikram Algiffari to save.

Thailand's campaign was impressive, with a commanding 13-0 win over Brunei Darussalam and a 5-0 victory over the Philippines, though they suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to Iraq.

Thailand’s strong performance in the qualifiers demonstrates their potential to be a formidable competitor in the final tournament. Despite the setback against Iraq, their overwhelming victories in the other matches show they are a force to be reckoned with in the upcoming AFC U-20 Asian Cup.
