After the successful run of Art Jakarta on October 4th to 6th, 2024, at JIEXPO Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, the 2025 edition returns with a similar event: Art Jakarta Gardens, which will be held from April 22nd to April 27th at Hutan Kota by Plantaran.
This year's event will showcase 25 galleries from various cities across Indonesia with 28 sculptures, such as “Rooster” by Yunizar (Gajah Gallery), “Emotional Safeguard” by Agung and Sekar Puti (Srisasanti Gallery), “Terbanglah Bunda” by Yani Mariani (Kendys Sankhara), and “Muscle, Mud, and Blood #1” by Dzikra A.N. In this fourth edition, Art Jakarta Gardens will also feature art from Singapore and Kuala Lumpur.
Supported by the significant contributions of three leading financial institutions, the fourth edition special presentation will be shown by: Bibit, Treasury, and the first collaboration with BCA, emphasizing the importance of the creative economy as a platform for dialogue, while also introducing fresh perspectives on value, resilience, and the future.
The Special Presentation Bibit x Abenk Alter
One of the special presentations introduced at a media gathering on April 15th is a collaborative art space by Bibit and Abenk Alter, artist from Jakarta with a panel titled Flower from Future. Based on their view of the world as struggling, they believe “there is still hope and good energy in Indonesia”.
During the media gathering, PR and Corporate Communication Lead at Bibit, William says that they want this collaboration to spread the message that “the future belongs to everyone, and can be built by thinking about our target as the first step”. Besides that, Abenk hopes this installation will invite the public to write their hopes, targets, and goals that might bring some positive ideas and innovation, which help create a better world, either through the arts or investment.
The Special Presentation by Treasury x Arkiv
Other than that, another special presentation which might be one of the highlights in 2025 Art Jakarta Gardens, is a collaboration by Treasury and Arkiv Vilmansa, an artist from Bandung, with the artwork titled “Golden Age”. The sculpture was made entirely of gold, featuring Mickiv—an iconic character by Arkiv. It is considered one of the finest works from his golden age.
Through this work, Treasury is also trying to spread the message about “this is the golden age of gold” and “Gold and art are both valuable and have universal appeal”.
In addition to those two, later in the venue will be another 3 special presentations, such as
- MyBCA Space by BCA
- Unboxing Love by RMHC Foundation
- Twinkle-Gize by iForte
Another thing that will make Art Jakarta Gardens 2025 even more special Is its daily lineup of various performances. Such as the theatrical performance titled “A song of Sangiran 17” by the Prehistoric Body group on April 23rd, music performances by Float and Sal Priadi on April 25th, and a closing act by legendary Indonesian divas: Rita Tila, Rien Djamain, Ermy Kullit, and Margie Segers.
The History of Art Jakarta Gardens
Art Jakarta Gardens' artistic director, Enin Supriyanto, says the first annual event was held in 2022. This is an innovative art fair by Art Jakarta, a part of MRA Group. Initially, this event was held amid the social restrictions on indoor activities because of the pandemic.
This is a collaborative event between MRA Group and several brand partners and dozens of active art galleries spread across Indonesia. Unlike Art Jakarta held at JIEXPO Kemayoran, Art Jakarta Gardens displays artworks in smaller quantities.
Besides the painting, this event also highlights the artwork in the form of sculptures or 3D art spread across the forest area. In addition to displaying artwork, another attraction is an art performance and live music throughout the event.

Since it was first held, Art Jakarta has always been held at the Hutan Kota by Plantaran because both share a common vision of promoting Indonesian culture on a national level. This event is intended to serve as a straightforward overview, showing that sculptors in Indonesia remain actively engaged in producing new works.
