Arsenal suffered a 0-1 defeat at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the first leg of the Champions League semifinal on Wednesday (30/4). PSG's only goal was scored by their winger Ousmane Dembele (4’).

This goal brought Dembele's tally to 32 goals in all competitions for PSG this season. Unfortunately, the French international had to be substituted in the 70th minute by PSG's coach Luis Enrique.

“Ousmane Dembele will undergo further medical examination after the match. It doesn't seem to be a serious issue, but we will ensure his condition to see if he can play in next week's match,” Enrique said, as quoted by ESPN.

According to statistics, PSG, as the away team, actually dominated the game. PSG controlled 52 percent of ball possession.

In terms of shooting aggression, PSG and Arsenal were closely matched. PSG had 11 shots, while Arsenal had 10.

Out of PSG's 11 shots, four were on target, six were off target, and one was blocked. This means PSG's shooting accuracy was 36 percent.

Meanwhile, Arsenal's 10 shots included five on target, two off target, and three blocked. Thus, Arsenal's shooting accuracy was 50 percent.

PSG's Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma also played a significant role. The Italian international made five saves and make clean sheets.

Donnarumma's impressive performance against Arsenal added to his record of five clean sheets in the Champions League. In the 2024-2025 season, Donnarumma has played 1,200 minutes in the Champions League with PSG.
